The Pump Action Bug Vac is a manual spider and insect catcher for the home. You pump the plunger several times, hold the nozzle close to the spider or insect and press the trigger. The stored suction pulls the creature into the transparent catching tube, where it stays while you carry it outside. You never have to touch it.
It is made for anyone who wants spiders and insects out of the house without killing them and without reaching for an insect spray. This battery-free insect catcher works purely mechanically and poison-free: no single-use traps, no chemicals, no replacement batteries. At 71 cm long it keeps you at a distance and reaches high corners on walls and ceilings, above kitchen units for instance. Made in China.
Pump the plunger several times, bring the nozzle close and press the trigger: the suction is released in one go and the insect ends up in the tube. The clear tube shows immediately whether the catch worked or whether you need another try.
Outdoors you open the air valve and work the pump so the creature is moved out and away from the house. That is how you catch a spider without killing it. According to the manufacturer you can also roll a smooth ball from a piece of tin foil of about 15 x 15 cm, place it in the tube and aim at pests such as mosquitoes and horse flies.

- Made in China
- Packaging: printed cardboard box
The catcher is made for households where nobody fancies collecting spiders by hand or with a glass. In late summer and autumn, when spiders move indoors, it tends to stay within easy reach. Because it works without poison, it is an alternative for anyone who would rather avoid sprays. As a small practical gift it suits people who would rather not harm anything but prefer their eight-legged visitors outdoors.
Pump the plunger calmly before you approach the creature, so all you have to do at the end is press the trigger. Hold the nozzle close so the suction takes hold straight away. Then take the creature outside and release it a good distance from the house with the air valve open.
Keep an eye on the clear tube and you will know whether the creature is inside. As a gift you can hand it over in its printed box. According to the manufacturer it is not a toy and should only be used as directed for pest control.
How do I catch a spider with it? Pump the plunger several times, hold the nozzle close to the spider and press the trigger. The spider is drawn into the catching tube.
Do I need batteries? No. The suction comes purely from the hand pump, so there is nothing to charge or replace.
Is the insect killed when it is caught? No, the principle is humane catch and release. Outside you open the air valve and pump the creature out away from the house.
How big is the insect catcher? It measures 71 x 9 x 8 cm. The long build keeps you at a distance and reaches walls and ceilings.
Is the Bug Vac a toy? No. According to the manufacturer it is not a toy and is only to be used as directed for pest control.
