These Dinosaur String Lights are battery operated indoor lights with ten different dinosaurs along the strand. Every figure is a different species in bright colours. During the day the string works as a decorative object in a child's room, and once the room goes dark it serves as a night light. At 180 cm it is long enough for the edge of a bed, a window sill or the front edge of a shelf.
They suit dinosaur fans of every size: children of school age who collect figures and rattle off species names faster than capital cities, and any hobby palaeontologist in the house. Because the lights run without a socket, you can hang them wherever there is space - above the bed, by the reading corner or along the shelf that holds the collection. An ON/OFF switch is included, and that is all the technology involved.
Ten dinosaurs light up along the strand, each a different species in bright colours. Instead of a uniform row of light points you get ten figures that invite a closer look. The 180 cm length works well over a door frame, along a bunk bed or across a shelf, and at 0.1 kg the whole thing stays light.
- 10 dinosaurs, each a different species in bright colours
- Length of the string: 180 cm
- Runs on 3 x AA batteries, not included
- ON/OFF switch supplied
- Suitable for indoor use only
- Weight: 0.1 kg
- Packaged in a clear PVC box with a bright patterned print
The string is battery operated: it needs 3 x AA batteries, which are not included. If the lights are meant as a present, pick up the batteries at the same time so the dinosaurs can glow straight away. Switching on and off happens with the supplied ON/OFF switch, so there is no app, no menu and no programme to work out first.
With no mains cable in the way you are free to choose the spot. The string is intended for indoor use only, so a child's room, a play corner, a hallway or a stairway are its places.
The lights arrive in a clear PVC box with a bright patterned print, so the dinosaurs are visible before anything is unwrapped and gift paper becomes almost optional. That makes them an easy idea for birthdays, as a souvenir after a museum visit, as part of a dinosaur gift set or as a small surprise for a newly arranged room.
Hang the string so the switch stays within reach, then your child can turn the light off at bedtime without help.
If you are giving the lights as a present, add the 3 AA batteries, as the manufacturer does not include them. And because the clear box shows the dinosaurs, you can hand it over without wrapping paper. Plan a spot inside the house, since the string is made for indoor use only.
Do the Dinosaur String Lights need batteries? Yes, they run on 3 x AA batteries. The batteries are not included.
How long is the string? It measures 180 cm, which fits the edge of a bed, a window or a shelf.
How many dinosaurs light up? Ten of them, each a different dinosaur in bright colours.
How do you switch them on and off? With the ON/OFF switch that comes with the lights.
Do they work as a night light in a child's room? Yes, they are meant as a decorative object and a night light for the children's room, and they are made for indoor use only.
