These Batman advent calendar bags are a fill-it-yourself set: 24 printed paper bags in yellow, pink, black and natural brown, plus 24 number stickers and 24 black wooden pegs. The motifs run from the bat signal to swarms of bats and the Gotham City skyline. Because the colours are printed boldly, the finished row reads almost like a series of small pictures on the wall.
You fill it yourself, and that is exactly what makes this calendar more interesting than a ready-made chocolate one for older children and adult fans. Trading cards, small figures, cinema vouchers, mini comics, socks or a note for each day: the contents decide whether the calendar is for the comic fan in the family or for the colleague with the Batman mug. It is an officially licensed product from DC and Warner Bros.
Everything you need to build the calendar is ready to go. Scissors and glue can stay in the drawer.
- 24 printed paper bags in four colourways: yellow, pink, black, natural brown
- Bag size approx. 9 x 22.5 x 5.5 cm
- 24 number stickers from 1 to 24 in black, yellow and pink
- 24 black wooden pegs for sealing
- 10 m of white cord
- Officially licensed by DC / Warner Bros.
- Packaging approx. 23 x 23 x 2 cm, weight approx. 286 g
Lay out all 24 bags, fill them, apply the numbers, fold the top over and add a wooden peg, and that is all it takes. The pegs are lacquered black to match the design instead of standing out the way plain natural wood does. Thanks to the folded base the bags stand up on their own.
The white cord lets you hang the row along a wall, across a door frame or down the banister. Alternatively the bags stand on a sideboard or go into a shallow basket beside the sofa. The set lies flat in its packaging, so it takes up very little room before December.
At roughly 9 x 22.5 x 5.5 cm the bags hold small gifts, sweets, vouchers or figures. That makes them equally useful for school-age children, teenagers and grown-up fans: one calendar can be built from trading cards, the next from pins, notes and a cinema voucher. Because of the small parts the set is not intended for toddlers.
Mix the four colours deliberately rather than sorting them by shade, as the wall looks livelier that way. Flat fillings keep the bags slim if you plan to hang them from the cord, while bulkier surprises are better placed in the bags standing on the sideboard.
For older fans, trading cards, pins, stickers and vouchers often work better than sweets. Putting a shared film night behind the last few numbers turns the calendar into an event rather than a pile of small things. The black pegs and any leftover cord stay useful after advent, for instance to hang photos on a line.
Does the calendar come filled? No, the bags arrive empty. You decide what goes in each day.
How big are the bags? Each bag measures approx. 9 x 22.5 x 5.5 cm, which leaves room for small gifts, sweets, vouchers or figures.
Do I need glue or scissors? No. Bags, number stickers, wooden pegs and cord are ready to use.
Which motifs and colours are there? The 24 bags are spread across several designs in yellow, pink, black and natural brown, from the bat signal to swarms of bats and the Gotham skyline.
Is this an official Batman product? Yes, the set carries the DC and Warner Bros. licensing marks.
